Steve Weitzner

Steve is the President of Silverlode Consulting Corp., a comprehensive economic development consulting firm providing services to both public and private sector clients.  Prior to founding Silverlode Consulting, he was the founder and Area Director of Business Incentives Services for the Lake Erie Area of Ernst & Young LLP.  He has provided assistance to a wide variety of companies and organizations throughout North America, including many Fortune 50 firms and state and local government agencies.  His experience and expertise includes domestic and international site selection and location analysis, economic incentives research and acquisition, financial modeling and decision analysis, target industry analysis, program development, and demonstrating the economic and fiscal impacts of a wide variety of projects to both corporations and governments.

Steve has been published in the Journal of State Taxation, the Journal of Multistate Taxation and Incentives, and the CCH Business Incentives Guide.  He has been a speaker and instructor at meetings of the Council for Urban Economic Development, the International Economic Development Council and several regional economic development conferences.  Steve has also participated in a number of international trade missions and trade shows representing both state and local governments.  Steve earned the Master of Business Administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a Master of Music degree from the University of Akron.  He is an avid soccer player and coach, a bicycle commuter when the Cleveland weather allows it (both months), skier, and squash enthusiast (the game, not the vegetable).  Steve lives in Shaker Heights, Ohio with his wife and two children.
